We designed the inaugural print issue and original website for Democracy in 2005, and continued to provide ongoing design and consulting on both the print and digital components.
In 2015, I led the redesign of the website, updating the editors’ publishing process and expanding the site’s content to include new features and online-only content. The most striking feature of the redesign is its bold yet nuanced use of typography, which shines attention on the site’s influential ideas.
